Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing to book with Palm Court Skegness. We look forward to welcoming you. When you make a reservation you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.
Bookings:
Bookings are made and a contract between You and Us comes into effect when We accept a reservation from You. We will accept a reservation when we have confirmed your reservation and received full payment of the total value of the non-refundable deposit. Where a non-refundable deposit is paid, the balance will be paid by You to Us either before or on check-in.
All bookings require deposit of the full balance stay unless otherwise agreed.
Payments:
We accept the following payments
Credit Cards/Debit Cards - Visa/Mastercard/ American Express
Cancellation and Insurance:
Once you have reserved your stay, our agreement is a legal contract. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. We reserve the right to charge you via your credit/debit card or by other means based on the following time scales:-
7 Days or less notice or not checking-in on the first night of your stay – Cancellation charge equivalent to 100% of the total amount of your stay.
Over 7 days notice – Charge equivalent to the cost of 1 nights stay.
If you fail to check in on the first day of your stay without prior agreement we reserve the right to cancel your stay and the full balance of your stay will become due.
For this reason you may wish to take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.
Non-availability:
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival:
Check-in times are between 2.00pm – 9.00pm. We will endeavour to have your room prepared for your arrival by 2.00pm. If you require access to your room outside these times please call us and we shall be happy to discuss your requirements with you.
Departure:
Please vacate your accommodation by 10.00am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.
There may be an additional charge for unauthorised late check outs.
Groups:
We Do Not accept all male/female groups.
We reserve the right to not accept a group reservation at our discretion. Please contact us prior to making a group booking to obtain approval.
Regrettably we do not accept stag or hen parties.
Children:
Minimum age of children accepted is 6 years old.
Room Occupancy:
The Maximum room occupancy for each room is as follows:
Single Room - One adult
Double Room - Two adults or One adult & one child over 6 years old
Twin Room - Two adults or One adult & one child over 6 years old
Smoking:
Palm Court is strictly non smoking.
We reserve the right to terminate immediately the stay of any guest found to be smoking in the property without being liable for any refund or compensation. We also reserve the right to make an additional cleaning charge of £100.00 for cleaning of the room and to charge for any damage caused.
Pets:
Regrettably we do not accept pets.
Keys:
On arrival you will be given a set of keys for the front door and your room(s). Lost keys should be reported to us immediately and we reserve the right to make a charge of £100 for replacement keys.
In the event that your keys are not returned to us at the end of your stay we reserve the right to charge you the cost of replacing locks and new sets of keys.
Breakfast:
Breakfast will be served in the dining room between 8.15am and 9.00am unless otherwise advised.
Breakfast is charged as an optional extra on room only bookings at £6.00 p.p.p.n.
Internet – WiFi:
By using our WiFi you agree to our ‘Wi-Fi Terms and Conditions’ which are available on request.
Parking:
We have a limited number of parking spaces that are available on a 1st come 1st served basis to those guests booking with us directly and must be reserved in advance. You park at your own risk and we take no responsibility for any damage caused while parked on our property.
Behaviour:
We reserve the right to terminate Your booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation when you engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes a disturbance or nuisance to other guests or staff.
Towels:
Each adult guest will be provided with 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel in their room for use during their stay which will be replenished regularly. We reserve the right to charge £19.95 per towel for any lost, missing or damaged towels. We may charge this cost to your credit/debit card.
Damages and Breakages:
Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice and debit your debit/credit card for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge of £30.00 if you did not report this.
Additional Charges:
In the event that we are unable to obtain payment for any additional charges listed in these terms and conditions we reserve the right to pass on your information to a debt recovery agency to recover these charges and any additional costs incurred in collecting the debt.
Liability:
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Other than for death or personal injury our total liability to you is limited to the price of the booking and in no circumstances will we be responsible for any indirect or special damages.
We will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond Our reasonable control.
Data:
Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.
We will occasionally use your data to advise you of special offers and promotions that we have available. If you do not wish us to use your data in this way please advise us.
